Was out the other day
North and west shores were pretty void of vegetation
Seemed like the best was in the “finger” to the south
Still, found very little vegetation unless you were right next to the grassy shoreline, but maybe 3-4 ft of water
I definitely drilled and scoped more than I fished.
We caught one little pike by fluke. I saw zero perch.
Wondering if the summer fishing/weedy areas are better looking? I’ve only ice fished there.
Small patchy areas of green near the middle but nothing like you would see at Pigeon or Gull. The deepest I found was 18 ft.
I spent morning until about 4 pm there. The ice was a good 20 inches average and the water was pretty clear.
But I didn’t have the luck.
Anyone have a better experience here?
I might try Gull on the weekend. West side near Sunset Legion
