I was out at Koocanusa on may long and my buddy and I managed to land some whitefish , kokanee , rainbow trout and my friend manged to land a really nice bull trout! All caught from the shore and we were fly fishing and spin casting.
Also check out the kootney trout hatchery pond , its like fishing out of a barrel

hey AO19, were you fishing by the camp ground (surveyors) or somewhere else?

i've only had luck with kokanee and squawfish fishing there.
thanks

Spring Lake, west of Tie is a great little bass lake and also has a good population of trout. The road in can be a challenge however.

seahawk,
I was fishing near wardner just quading around and finding some pools. I cant tell you exact spots but just cast small spoons into spots that have deeper water and slowly retrieve . Im sure youll pull out a few whites and rainbows!
Good luck!

Loads of good bass fishing in the Cranbrook area if that interests you as well. It seems just about every lake or pond has bass in it these days
