We have an older aluminum and due to some bad weather on Pigeon this weekend we need to replace or fix the plug assembly on our boat. The hole where the plug goes in is all bent out of shape from being tied to shore in a rocky area over night. Any suggestions would be appreciated as some companies seem to not like working on older boats. :( We are in Calgary and hoping to have it fixed up so we can head to Travers on Friday after work. Thanks

I would try using a large tapered punch or similar tool and drive it in from both sides until the hole is the size and shape it use to be.

That sounds like it might work. Can only get at it from the outside, as on the inside it is way under the motor. Thanks.:D

If thats the case, using the punch or similar until the size is correct then find the same diameter socket and finish driving it all the way..
