Hi Dave, I go to the Meckenzie crossing towards Big Valley, across the bridge going east and on east side of the river and north of the bridge. Go about 200 yards down mid afternoon use a five of diamonds about 2 1/2 inches long and any other spoon you would like to try, this will give you walleye, pike and goldeye. Then at about 6:30-7:00 start to use a bobber and a worm and try to throw out at least half way across river up stream and let the bobber float towards you and down. This will drive the goldeye nut's and it will be rare you don't catch at least 20 in an evening, the walleye are hit and miss so usually 4 to 1. Let me know when you want to go I'm in!!!

Illegal to use worms there and I hope you aren't keeping the walleye. You have to be south of tolman bridge to use anything more than maggots as bait. Grew up fishing that exact spot though :)...we moved south from there.

Don't mean to high jack...Is the prefered rig to use a pickerel rig, weighted on bottom, and minnows? I've used that in the past with luck in other rivers...Where does a guy go around Drumheller?
