2017 I was in the right place at the right time, walking in to my good spot, at point blank this beauty just standing there, the 243 dropped him in his tracks.

A mule deer doe draw area 160, I have permission on a several section farm near Castors home in hours. Hunting has an unexplained element of luck, sometimes good sometimes bad.

Not always the case, 2016 couldnt get a buck to save my life, on a drive in area 412 a hugh 10 pointer ran up behind me,30m, i rush a shot over his back. Another 6-8 pointer i saw tree limbs flying then gone. day after day nothing , high and low. Finally filled a doe tag, think a could have put it all one time on the barbecue xmas--good years bad years take it all in stride, thats why they call it hunting. cheers.
