View Full Version : NSR.. Where does it start and finsh ?

It starts North of Banff in the Columbia ice field ,runs off of the sask glacer,
then threw Abraham lake ,threw Edmonton ,and ends in Lake Winnipeg !
That would be boat trip !

I think it ends in tobin lake if i am not mistaking....

Tobin Lake is a man-made lake that was created when the 'Squaw Rapids' dam was built. The river carries on all the way to Lake Winnipeg. Although after the NSR and SSR meet up east of Prince Albert it is only known as the Saskatchewan River from there on in.

Technically it ends at 'the forks' east of PA. Great Grandparents homesteaded on the 'land between the rivers'. Very rich native history in the area.

Begins further up then that, at the base of the Saskatchewan Glacier.
