A little help please

Hey guys, I got a hare yesterday and my little brother wants a "lucky rabbit's foot" out of it. How do I prepare this? Thanks a ton!

I'm no trapper but i used to do a bit of taxidermy. You may want to get all the flesh out you can, smother the inside and out with borax and then dry it out in a very dry cool kind of place. I've used this for lots of flytying materials when i had decent non-tanned scraps of elk or deer.
