Newell Lake

I'm thinking of checking out Newell this weekend, has anyone had any luck there this year. Would be going after pike and walleye, any tips? Are there Burbot in there?

I've heard fishing was good, lots of sandy points where walleye will be and fish the bays south of the launch for pike. There are burbot too, better luck in dark though.

Had trouble filling tags last weekend - used all the usual tackle, and hit all the usual spots. Had to go shallower than normal, and had luck on bottom bouncers with small silver or red blades. Bring the worms :)
