I had inherited an old boat that didn't run well and hadn't been used in 5 years. I went to the boat show and someone gave me a card for a person to use for repair.

I took the boat to him and was pleasently surprised. Colin was quick to look at the boat and diagnose the problem, recomend solutions. He was able to get parts for cheap and repaired my boat quickly. When I took the boat out on the lake, it worked great and have used it 4 times already this year with absolutely no problems at all. He also has a dyno there if you want that done.

He is on a farm near Didsbury. Very friendly and knowledgable. He is a certified boat repair mechanic. If you talk with him, mention my name as I said I would refer him.

Thanks, Chris Bauer

PS: What was done..

- diagnose and test
- change complete water pump and impeller
- change power pack
- two carb kits, fuel fileters, etc
- sync carbs
- new plugs
- change gear oil
- had some water built up, he thawed and removed it, charged battery, cleaned fuel tank, greased engine, you know the extra mile.

Total was $1000 even, was really reasonible IMO.

Kind of, but not really. If you are coming from Calgary it's north...so you have to drive by Bass pro to get there....

I TOTALLY AGREE with nicemustang !!

He did some work for me last year and I couldn't be happier. Changed out and put in a new throttle, assembly, cables... the works and also worked on my 'then' defunct KICKER. Great guy and his fee was VERY reasonable. Best of all it's nice to meet an "HONEST, STRAIGHT-UP GUY" in the Marine Service Industry. Go see him, you won't be disappointed....

X2 for COLIN @ "Prairie Winds Marine"

Cheers,
