After some advice on the forum. We decided too book a 3 day trip with STS Guide service. We decided to drive out, taking a couple days. Stop along the way and catch my first bass. 'First stop was Christina Lake. 5 minutes into fishing small mouth bass on. We stayed at Ossoys over night and fished Ossoys Lake in the morning. We hooked into a few but none landed. On to Mission for the night, for a 8:00 am start. 8:00 am we were off in the rain. I mentioned to the guide all I wanted was one bigger than I've caught in Alberta. It didn't take long and we were into our first sturgeon. I drew the lucky card and went first. And I tell you what, I've caught hundreds here in Alberta. My biggest is 5'2". The fish I hooked was around 6'6" and fat. Guesstamated 160 lbs. Unbelievable power, jumped 7 times. Broke my AB record the first fish. If you haven't caught any that big it's hard to explain how hard they pull. We landed 6 more. 1 was close to 7' 180lbs. What a day. We decided not to take these fish to shore for pictures The guide says we will catch fish that will be worth taking to shore for pictures. It's takes time out of fishing. So not many good pictures today. Got some sweet video of some of the jumps. I'll have to wait to get home to post them up. Can't wait for day 2. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180614/b1d1ea306f571fa16bebc7bf28954644.jpg

Did they ask if you wanted a salt water license? I went west of the mission bridge one time and we landed 6 of them over 7' by lunch and one of them was my personal best at 9'-2", that was in August mind you.
