Hey guys,

I dont typically jig alot but the last few trips ive been finding it happening. Between using the spot lock anchor mode on my minn kota and my actual anchor i still tend to sway side to side quite a bit. If im jigging with heavier jigs etc not a big deal, but when going with smaller hooks and line i would like to have a lit less boat movement. (And yes the anchor is holding properly).

I would like to know any other boat techniques for less boat movement. Has anyone tried using an anchor off the front and drift sock off the back?

Thanks!

Could use 2 anchors. One out front facing general wind direction if windy, let out a bunch of rope. Set second anchor behind, pull on front anchor to have both lines out. Not to windy and you can anchor across wind front and back.

Or you could anchor off each front quarter. You will have to use power to get you to anchor positions.

I still prefer anchoring with my motorguide. Works good for me even with small jigs. Hardly ever use real anchors anymore.
