My daughter and I will be visiting family here at the end of August and I was wondering what the fishing is like from shore? I think we are staying in Sunbreaker Cove. My daughter loves to fish so I hoping to get her a fish or two from shore if possible but Ive heard mixed reviews about the lake so I thought what better place to ask then on the AO. Thx to anyone willing to disclose any advice.

My daughter an I often fish from shore at the pier. Jig with a minnow during the evening has worked well for us. We usually head down around 8 - 8:30. Mornings have been slow.

If you are staying in Sunbreaker shore access is limited to essentially the boat launch and the public beach area. You cant really fish the beach area, and the boat launch gets super busy. I would try to find a neighbor or family friend in the area that has a dock or you can use or drive into town and try the pier. If you have a boat/canoe there is some great fishing in the Sunbreaker area close by.
