Need a recommendation!

Hello everyone,

I'm travelling to MB for a wedding in a couple weeks and am taking my boat along and was wondering if anyone could reccomend a lake in SK that's not too far off hwy 16 that I could stop at along the way and wet a line. Not too fussy on fish species or anything just need a lake that I can take the boat on for a couple hrs in the am before carrying on the journey. Thx

Jackfish/Murray lake just outside north battleford is always descent fishing.....haven't been much further east on 16 than that for fishing. If you're heading south from there at all....last mountain lake can be epic if you get the right day. 10lb walleye and 20+lb. Pike are not uncommon.

Last Mountain Lake aka Long Lake. Plenty of trophy fish about an hr from Regina.
