hi guys

i have been interested in trapping for quit a while. i was wondering if someone could held me with a few pointers on how to get started. like what traps to use and what not to use est.

Your best bet is to go to the Alberta Trappers' Association web site and check out their trapper education courses (http://www.albertatrappers.com/TrapperEducation.htm). They are excellent and include a manual and a lot of practical instruction.
