Just wondering if I’m interpreting the Reg’s properly. The other day I caught a walleye that was pretty badly injured by the way it was hooked and the fight it put up. The lake was 0 limit for walleye. I ended up putting it back in the water where it surely was going to die. Seemed like such a waste but the Reg’s seem to say restricted fish must be released even if injured or dead. Does that make sense to anyone? I suppose it would prevent people arguing a walleye for dinner out of sylvan lake because it was mortally injured...just seemed strange.
