Yes a I have done well with a zinger hoochie combo. Glow n dark zinger and white hoochie

While jigging with 'squids' and jigs I think a person should approach lakers with something a little more substantial. ZipnZip posted these two pictures a couple years ago and it illustrates a laker's appetite pretty good. Bigger lures or baits for the bigger fish theory would apply.

I caught a 42 in. Laker out of Minnewanka on a 3/16 oz jig and white grub. Think outside the box once in a while. :)

4.2" is more on par......your fishing people stretch the truth a bit......:)
We all know that catching is the best part and have experienced some wonky responses to lures/techniques used....ya just don't know until you wet a line.
