Strikemaster 40v Unboxing.

Hi all. I just received my new Strikemaster 40v Lithium 8” auger today and thought I would do a video showing unboxing, assembly, and operation. It’s a pretty slick unit and I’m excited to get it out on the ice. I hope some of you find it helpful.

Is that the 50v or the 40v? I know they had the 50v out for a while and then switched to the 40.

I really contemplated the 10" auger for the extra $20 but figured I would rather have more holes than a bigger hole. The 10" is rated for 70 holes in 14" of ice, where as the 8" is rated for 100 holes in 14" of ice. I got a second battery as well, so I figured even if ice gets to be 2-3 feet thick I should be good.

Mine is the new version 40 volt. Came with two batteries but never had to use the second one while out for a day of fishing.

The auger is the same as my strikemaster gas as well. I was at the lake the other day with 12 inches of ice. We moved several times (unfortunately) and I estimate we drilled over 40-50 holes with two of the four lights remaining.
