Target shooting near Medhat

I am looking for a place to do some target practice near med hat. I have a membership to the rifle range but I have some friends that want to try shooting for the first time and I can't take them there. Anyone know of a gravel pit or something along those lines I can access?

^^^ this ^^^^ there is some public land around but for five bucks why spend $20 on fuel?
