Hi All,
Heading to Playa Del Carmen later this week. Do you need a license for shore fishing? Have been to PV in the past and you did not need one from Shore.

Too funny- my daughter is going there Wednesday, and another guy I know is there now. I just asked him if it is required, will post up if he knows.

pretty sure no....at least I didn't have one last year..
No clue where you'd buy one and don't think they have fish cops.

Licences are not required for shore fishing . I go twice a year. Boat fishing needs a licence. Fun fact. As a canadian, you cant fish for bait with a net down there,

I read that that there is no shore fishing license requirement but you can not fish within 200 meters of swimmers.
