Pondering the idea of having skirting for draft reduction.

What has been done out there ?

I have catchcovers and sleeves already.

I found some heavy rubber mats cheap at princess auto. Cut them in half lengthwise and used metal screws. Worked great

A buddy of mine has plywood on hinges around his just folds them up and latches them to the side when done. He also inserts bottomless 5gal pails in the holes through the floor. Another friend has used conveyor belt around his both work well the belt is more forgiving though.

Thanks. I think what i will do is the belting. So does one paint it white or leave it black. ? I have a lead on some old round baler belt.

I may put it on hinges or mount it underneath. I am leaning on ghe hinge idea as the drifts can maybe rip it off like truck mudflaps.

This may work too if I can't secure the baler belt

Is yours about 5/8 inch thick or the thinner stuff at 0.1 or 0.2 inch thickness

How high up should one put the belting from the physical surface (ground/ice)
