broken zipper

Any one replace a zipper/good tailors out there, the zipper on the one man hut snapped in me hand, cost?

Unfortunately zipper replacement- from a tailor is quite costly, both labor and the zipper, if its a long one. Hope you can find someone with sewing skills. Would be nice if zippers were better quality also.

Don't go to a tailor take it to a shoe maker or tent and awning place. Tailor most likely will not have a machine for sewing onto your tent

I'm not sure if these guys will do it. Totem Outfitters (Edmonton) has repair shop on the south side of their retail store. They replaced a zipper on my favorite sleeping bag and did a phenomenal job! :love0025:

There is a shoemaker over on 118th avenue around 40th street...took my 9X9 tent to him a few years ago to have the zipper fixed...cost me ten bucks. Can't remember the name but it's on the northside of 118. he's very good.

I had a zipper replaced n one of my old one man pop up tents. North west tent and awnings did a great jod. I did have to remove the canvas from the tent frame myself and reinstall it. $75 got it fixed and they repaired some of the damage a 30 year old tent had? Good luck!

I had the zippers in my old Eaton's tent replaced at a fabric shelter company, the ones that sell Quonsets and such. It was pretty reasonable.

I had a zipper on a awning fixed on my tent trailer by airdrie tent and awning. Great price and super well done.

Boat tarps are usually zippered....Maybe try a couple of marine places.

Alliance Manufacturing in Edmonton. 127 Ave and about 99 st replaced two zippers on my tent trailer for $50 each. I'd imagine they can make that happen.
Mom and pop style shop who do good work. I'll always look to them first.
