Just read last night that the great Dwight Schuh left for the foothills in the sky!:(
Used to love the videos of him and Larry D.Jones .

Watched a lot of his videos and read a lot of his articles when I was starting out bow hunting back in the mid-90’s.

RIP Dwight Schuh

Seemed like a class act guy.
Always enjoyed his stories.

One of my bowhunting heroes, and one of the best hunting writers ever. I always admired and respected Dwight for not only his skill as a writer, but his ethical stance. He was editor of Bowhunter magazine for many years and when he retired in 2009, so I have read, was diagnosed with multiple Myeloma - cancer from exposure to Agent Orange in Vietnam. He still wrote in Bowhunter after retiring and his columns were what I looked forward to most in the magazine.

Was a decent writer, had some good articles. Took a bit of heat here and there, but, they all do at one time or another, he wrote about what he knew about and thought about things.

I bought The Bowhunter's Encyclopaedia written by Dwight Schuh a very long time ago. I still refer to it today. I loved his stuff. I dreamed of hunting with him one day. I guess I will have to wait until I get to the happy hunting grounds. God speed good man!!

Sad day indeed...almost bought a couple Llamas to use as pack animals from reading his insight on them.
