Looking for advice

As the title says, I need advice from some of you better educated folks.
I have a budget of approximately $700.
Can I get a decent crossbow and all the fixings to hunt whitetail with?
If yes, what do you recommend?
New or used?

If you are planning to hunt with a Crossbow in Alberta you may not do so during the archery only season unless you have a doctor's note indicating you cannot utilize a regular bow and then must obtain a permit from Fish and Wildlife. Please review the hunting regs so you do not get a surprise after your $700 purchase. Go into a place like Cabela's and look at the selection of CBs to determine what your needs are and what you can afford. CBs can cost as little as under $500 and as much as $3200 for the newest Ravins. I can also suggest you go to the Excalibur website and watch their videos to quickly understand recurve crossbows. As noted above, you will need the required permit, or only hunt during regular rifle openings (by & large).

Excalibur makes the best recurve out there.
They also carry the best warranty in the business - bar none.
Easy to work on (no need for a press), accurate as hell, and tougher than nails.

700 clams is actually a good starting point for many of those bows.
BTW - the warranty follows the bow, not the owner.
These bows are really tough, I have bought several used ones with no hesitation.
And would again were I seeking another.
