View Full Version : Epoxy for Rod Guides

I had some rod guides needed replacing. Already got new ones threaded on.

Im stuck on what to use for epoxy coat over the thread. Cant seem to find anything but 5 minute stuff which im told is no good to use. Guess it needs to be water proof and slow curing and of course clear.

What does everyone use and where to buy it without having to buy it online from US.

Most epoxy dries far to hard for this application. There are products for just such an app,and they stay flexible. But they are very slow drying, hours. Most require a motor to turn them slowly.

Give these guys a call I'm sure they will be able to address your needs. They are in BC.

Where are you located I have 3 rod driers and epoxy on hand. I could show you how to accomplish this!
