View Full Version : jiffy 30 leaking at connector....

when i prime the pump it leakes from the bottom of the white plactic 90 degree white connector.....and i think it kinda messes with the running as well.....is this a easy fix? or maybe a shop in calgary can fix it if someone knows someone?

sorry try the other one....it leaks at that white plastic connector.....and i think it sucks in air when operating normally...so i keep having to prime it when running...carb was refone last year....that white plastic piece seems loose.......

I have an older Jiffy Model 30. Obviously, I cannot see what your leak is from. It could be the hose, it could be the plastic 90 connector, ...

If you are handy and have some JB Quick and can clean the connector and bottom plate of oil, you could put a little JB around the base on the plate where the connector goes through.

Be careful on tightening the metal plate down. Your gasket is likely dried out and can crack, forcing you to put a kit into it simply for that gasket.

yea...tomorrow ill take it apart...clean it....and rake a closer look...then a little jb weld will do it i think......yea its tough to tell from the pick....

Nice repair!

I have been using JB Quick for all sorts of fixes. Keep some in the tool box when on road trips. Amazing stuff.
