Today is the last day of the course and I’ve got to say it has been a very interesting course and I’m glad I’m taking it. Because I’m doing the course in bc the guy don’t seem to know what I have to do next.

Do I take my certificate to fw and get issued a licence?
Can a guy get added on as partner on same day?

Thanks.

Wouldn’t Ab and B.C. have separate courses due to the varying regulations?

I'm told not. They are the same but after the course might be different.

You took the BC course but you'll be trapping in AB?

I believe the BC course will be accepted in Alberta for trapping license. It was a few years back but not 100% positive with all the changes in last few years.

The guy putting on the course says it is.

New licenses likely won’t be available for a bit, the ones from last year are only valid a couple more months.

You can buy your license for this year, but that will only give you a month or so left for this season. Catch a few beaver and muskrat, start building a bait supply for next year.

The Alberta course is good in B.C., so I would imagine the other way around works also.

yes, when I took the course, there was someone from B.C. and Gordy said the course is valid all over Canada if I remember well
