Good morning....Never fished here before. Wondering about ice conditions and access? Can we use OHV?

Several years ago we arrived with quads to head up to the lake and there was a sign restricting the OHV usage to certain dates due to elk calving?...Can't remember what the exact date period was however we were there in early July I think. We hiked in....2-3 kms ...some very nice cutthroats in there and it is big bear country
