First fish of open water!

Hi guys, does anyone know of any local ponds or lakes stocked near Edmonton? Heard there's a lot of winter kill this season and seeing as how most lakes don't open until may 14, planning to take the boys out tomorrow for some trout. Please pm me or let me know if u hear of anything

I think Leduc trout pond is open all year, nice place and a decent walk. Don't know about the winterkill though, they have a fountain going and I think it was stocked last year.

I fished Beaumont pond on Easter weekend and Morinville yesterday, fly & bait w/ no luck (about an hour at each spot).

Nobody else fishing while I was there either, at either spot.

They should be getting stocked in the next week or two, I'm sure there's probably still fish in there now but I couldn't find them.
