Hello guys,

I haven't fish for more than 20 years now, and I would like to introduce my kids to fishing this weekend. Do you know where goldeyes are bitting in Red Deer this time of year?

Thanks in advance.

there are several pools that contain goldeyes. theres pool at the bower ponds canoe launch, fellows fishing on the bank on the opposite shore have been having some success. the will come closer to shore and shallower on the north side of this pool in the early evening. dry flies and nymphs. further downstream, just across from the end of the island is another pool that holds goldeye. access it from the bike path along the south side of the river, its a tricky climb down the bank. there is a pool under the bridge (one way southbound) and at the entrance to three mile bend park. no bait, barbless,i'd reccomend a bobber and a bug (nymph). beaded hares ear
