Anyone been there lately? Could give a report on the fishing?

That is the most frustrating lake I have ever fished. We fished it morning and night for three days. Camped right at the lake and caught one small one south of the island in the “channel”. We through everything we had at them. Willow leafs, ford fender, spoons, flatfish, spinners, bait. Tried shallow, tried deep.

Can dig up some old threads on here or fishing SK and guys are catching 10 pounders. But we sure didn’t. Waste of time, if your there fish to the east of Fern.

I fished it April 30 and May 7. We caught fish but it was slowish.

Did you mean west of Fern MooseRiverTrapper?

Only time I caught fish there was jigging a small 5 o’ Diamonds with a minnow on it. 40 FOW.

Brought 4 Splake home today. All caught on the fly.

biggest caught was 61 cms but released it cause I already had a 58 cm.
