i have seen those used in Europe and surroundings. they load the hooks with corn and fill the cylinder with corn and such for the carp and while the bait dissipates out of the cylinder and drifts down the idea is the carp would grab the loose bait and possibly one of the pieces of corn on the hooks. i'd rather use the japanese sabiki rigs.
