My sons 7th birthday was today and he wanted to go fishing in the NSR. So we headed to Battleford for the day. He caught 3 fish! 2 nice walleye and this other cool fish. It was very silver, had large scales, it had 2 small barbels. The body was wide and heafty, and it had a snout of sorts. The mouth was under the snout, and it wasn't a sucker. What kind of fish is it? I will try to supply a pic. Thanks

Looks like a chub, catch them out of the rdr all the time. Bait thiefs, great pike bait, if it a chub that is.
Might be a tullibee hard to tell from that picture though
