Ok just out of curiosity cuz I’m finally in the last couple years been successful on the bow. Mainly shore fishing I’m wondering as I’m sure that’s what the majority are doing.
-What’s your average size fish
-what’s your average number of fish
-what’s your average amount of time on the water
Remember this is just for the bow I’m wondering.
For me I’d say 16-17” yet to land one over 20”
Maybe 50% of the time I go I get 1 but I only fish for about half hr before work on average. I get out the odd evening for a couple hours so not a heap of time on the water but I’m finally catching fish on this river that has been taunting me for way longer tha. I care to admit

The problem is there is nothing 'average' about the Bow.
I would say that I catch between 1-15 fish.
I spend between 1 hour and 12 hours fishing. You would think the longer that I fish the more I would catch. While there is a soft correlation, my most successful outings are usually with a tight window.
Fish sizes range from 12"-21", but I probably catch 10 or so over 21" every year. I would say that 90% of the bigger fish come at dusk or at night.
Over the last decade I seem to catch fewer fish, but I tend to catch much bigger fish since the flood.

Luck on the Bow is hit or miss for me. Some days I get into them and others I catch 1 or get skunked. I would say my average for size would be 10-16" with the occasional biggen. I do most of my fishing from Policeman downstream. Time of day doesn't seem to have much of an effect for me. I got my PB Brown (26") in the middle of the day.

Just outa curiosity.
Anybody use jigs with curly tails or other plastics with any success on the Bow?
