Hello all,

I am in the middle of a boat restoration project and was looking for some advice into home building a boat windshield. My boat is a very old boat (60's I believe) so the original windshield is completely gone. Any advice what a guy could use to create a frame? I have the plexi-glass I plan to use but just trying to figure out how to create a frame and the best material to use. I don't have any bending tools so likely looking at a 4-5 piece straight frames (non-walk through).

Any and all advice / suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks all!

Way easier to buy a pre-made one. There are lots of places that sell them, they look better, work better and are far stronger. Google pre-made boat windshield.

Just one example

I would search out another older boat that’s not being used and get the windshield off of that. I haven’t looked for one myself but I see lots of old boats sitting around that haven’t been used for years. Gotta be some parts out there somewhere.
