Hey headed out to Delaronde for a week here, curious on where abouts has some decent fishing? I have heard the North end is pretty good.

The risk to going through the narrows to the north end is the potential to be trapped if a south wind picks up and the waves become enormous; too treacherous to attempt passage unless you have a big boat and a strong will to survive. However, the rewards are bigger if you troll crawler harnesses along the east side to Rock Point (very rocky and shallow) then steam north to the narrow strip of beach on the north shore.

Assuming you launch at Zig Zag campground, try the north side of the island about 1/2 mile up lake. Or move a little further north to the point at Mariah Creek. Or go across and slightly north to Dunne's Point.

The last Walleye Classic was won just off-shore at the government boat launch along the weed beds and there are three humps about 300 metres east of the launch-if you can find them. Some slip bobber action.

Those are the two launch ramps on the lake unless you know someone at South Stony resort and you can use that private harbour.

For pike action, troll the shallows between ZigZag island and the beach at the campground. Crank baits
