Anyone been out to calling lake this year?

Heard a report from 2017 that the lake had been over run with blue green algae at the time. Was planning a trip out there next week and was hoping someone could tell me what the condition of the lake is right now. Anyone been out there recently? Im planning on fishing volkswagon point. Thanks guys.

Was out this past weekend and no algae yet to speak of. But with all the rain it wont be long with a few days of sun.

There is some kind of fishing derby happening today. You might be able to scoop up some floaters. Easy pickings. [emoji28]

We were out for 3 hours on Thursday night. The kids boated 35-50 fish and most were in the slot size which really surprised me.
