Was at Wallmart last week and noticed this fishing lure that had led lights in it flashing on and off. Are these legal in Alberta and if so any one try one !
Any luck with them?

Straight from the Reg's

Cannot:

"•Use lights to sportfish unless the light is attached to a hook or line used in angling"

So then I take it if the light is in the lure it is legal?

I found they're kinda hit or miss; some of 'em don't even flash.:mad3:
Just as soon stick to the glow jigs that you charge up with a light.

I bought one called the ASSASSIN. As my Dad says " some hooks are made to attract fish and some are made to attract fishermen ". I have caught many pike and even a few walleye (rapala type). It is kind of hit and miss, sometimes it works well, other times it doesn't work at all. It's till fun to send out the ASSASSIN after the fish.
