1996 Yamaha 20hp

So I’ve had the C.D.I. go on my Yamaha 20MSHU and was floored by the $487 OEM replacement cost so I figured there must be an aftermarket one available. The answer to that appears to be a resounding No. there seems to be for earlier ones, overlapping year ones, newer ones but absolutely nothing for this one. The part number is 6L2-85540-23-00 and is now etched into my brain for all eternity I’m sure. Does anyone out there know of a aftermarket or alternative one that works that won’t cost me $500+ after taxes. I’m not opposed to biting the bullet and ordering the OEM but it just seems a little steep considering there’s so many aftermarket ones out there for every other Yamaha around that same age

I would check with boat wreckers. Google used boat parts in Canada or even the States. Here is one such place.
