Hello all, I am going to be camping at Gregg lake with some family this coming weekend, and have been asked to take some first timers out fishing. Just wondering if anyone has any tips or hints to try and get some newbies on some fish. We will likely concentrate on Gregg lake as that is where we’re camping but could fish Jarvis as well. Not looking for any honey holes, just somewhere I can try and keep some excitement to keep them interested. Feel free to pm if you prefer that.

Did that trip two year go in july ,fished for one week , not one bite. Even drove to rock lake .a lot of lakers coming up to hook as seen in the sonar but no bites.
If you catch any thing please post.

We fished it last summer and caught some pike, couple were pretty nice size. Concentrate on the edges of the drop offs/weed beds in the middle of the lake. Watch for depth changes when boating, it can go shallow quick even in the middle of the lake. North end is worse than the South end I noticed....
