I am planning a trip to this lake in June for 6 days of fishing, seen lots of videos of guys using tube jigs, and looking for recommendations for other tackle and possible locations? We will be using guide for the first day to get a feel for the lake. It is big water and we might not get out everyday we are there. I've heard there are also several other options in the area. Chime in if you have any experience or expertise on this area of Manitoba. I posted earlier for the best drive to Laker location and this is what I settled on. We will be staying in a Yurt at campers cove campground. Thanks in advance!!

Aron from uncut angling on YouTube fishes that lake a lot. Pig trout and pike. If you aren’t a sucsriber to his channel I’d recommend it. I’m sure you’ll pick up some tips. You could even ask him yourself for some tips in the comments.

If you're going June 6th you won't be doing much jigging for them most of the guiding and fishing would be trolling, I'd imagined as the Lakers will be up anywhere in the Bays to deeper water like other poster said check out Aaron wiebe, Clayton Schick ,Jay Siemens, they all fish that Lake and Lake athapapuskow. Good luck

I had the opportunity to fish it when I was a kid and I knew very little about trout fishing. Ice was 4foot thick it was -56 and we found an ice shack way out in the middle of the lake so we figured it must be a trout hole. I still remember I had a big but tail I tried jigging. I was amazed at the crystal clear water. I jigged and froze my butt off with no fish. Someday I will get back there. Across the road has small mouth bass at rock lake.

Yes these Lakes up there do have big fish but they're not going to be number-wise like Cold Lake will be, we fish for 4 days last year number wise fish was poor trophy size fish was excellent.
