Decided to join the electric crowd and pulled the trigger on a strikemaster from Cabela’s with extra battery. Can’t wait to try it out. May have a jiffy 30 for sale soon.

Nice...I'm still runnin the 8" Honda powered version but the reviews the electric is getting (and the extra battery offer) has got me thinking. Does anyone know if they use the same auger/blades on the electric? I don't think they can be sharpened due to the compound curve. SM blades are $60-70 even online and it doesn't take much to foul a set.

Would be nice if they had other products you can use those batteries in , like a lawnmower in the off season.

Would be very handy if the auger or battery had a built in USB plug or 12v plug so when your done hole drilling you can run other electronics. Then if it was built into the battery a guy could use it out hunting or camping to charge things.

I’ve had one of those for two years now by far best auger ever made imo never seen another auger keep up with it and never went through whole battery in a outing and always cut 30-40 holes no gas smell so set tent up then cut holes you will be impressed for sure wish I would have went too battery power years ago

Strike master are you listening? Manufacture these products to work with your 40v auger battery’s before another company does and you will have an edge.

Totally agree, first company that comes up with multi-use tools for rechargeable battery applications (i.e. ice auger, lawn mower, weed whip, hedge trimmer, etc.) wins big time!

Honda Strikelite II ???

No, regular Strike Lite w/GX35 motor. I believe the Strike Lite II had a Robyn engine and composite auger/shaft.

This will be my 4 th season for my strikemaster. Love it. My gas strikemaster is still kept around as a back up. Never use it only other than to run some gas through it. Great thing it’s the same auger and blades.

does it ALL outdoors

Dosent Ryobi do that? Only problem is your stuck with Ryobi stuff :fighting0074:

A neat little gadget if you use DeWalt 20V stuff. It's the same piece that attaches to the battery in my heated jacket.

Add heated jackets to the list of battery uses, I contacted EGO and asked them to make an auger but they hadn’t planned that yet. I would rather support a fishing company
