Jig hooks

I got a Mr twister trouter kit from my wife as an early birthday gift, and I've never used plastics before.

I was wondering if anyone can give me some tips on how or where to use them around Calgary AB?

There is also a spinner blade inside and a keeper hook? How do I set these up?
