Kananaskis lakes

Wanted to head out too Kananaskis country this weekend too try my luck. I dont fly fish so ill be using a spinning reel off shore. Anyone have any suggestions on what lakes too try and what bait or lures too be trying would be awesome, thanks

Hike up to Elbow Lake and fish for brookies.... small spoons, spinners, or a fly / bobber set up will work at any given time. Actually there are quite a few lakes that you could try if you are willing to hike a few kilometers. Or you could try Wedge Pond beside hwy 40 if you don't want to hike. It has arctic grayling in it.
