its always neat go go back and watch my footage, lots to learn about those guys. now that you know all of my secret moves and the lake I fish at. there won't be anymore fish for me. :( just kidding, we have been fishing in the same hole for about 10 years. and we are still catching and keeping good sized pike . I get a kick at all of the secretive fishermen out there. I am happy to share the wealth. I live with abundance.

great video...thx for sharing it....kinda crazy to see the spoon hanging of the one's belly at 2:15...and he is still looking for more.

that spoon was from a guest we had out. when he pulled up the line it had the curly end on it. BAD KNOT. I ended up cacthing that fish later in the day. I gave buddy his hook back. and we had a good laugh.

Noticed the spoon wasn't working but caught their eye. Enough to make them check out the jig and nail that.

That rattlin' rapala didn't even have a chance to hit bottom before it got nailed. How come you didn't keep using it?

in that situation, I got my minnow bit off, in my shack I have numerous hooks on spools ready to go. I quickly threw down the rap to save the catch. when I am making videos I will fish a bit different, Kinda play to the camera. when a rap is jigged hard it covers ALOT of bottom, most of the time it is out of the camera's view. I will use the spoon or the rap to bring the fish in. then get them to hit on the jig and minnow. looks good for the camera.

Some of the best underwater footage I've seen; some great insight into pike behaviour. Amazing how most of 'em are so cautious.
Great job!

99% of the pike I have caught are like that. it the 1% that scare the **it out of you when you have been staring down an empty hole for a while. and the come out of nowhere at full speed

Great video. For all of those that do not have a fish cam for ice fishing you now know why many of us do. It is just as much fun watching what is going on down there than catching the fish. Sometimes it is funny watching them push and sniff your bait while you try to entice them more. Then they leave and don't even bother with you. Even funnier is to watch burbot as they tend to play with your bait more than pike. We have seen some interesting monster burbs at CV play with our baits for several minutes before swallowing them....

Rider, did you use a laptop to record? I just bought the Fish TV 7" but I have no idea how I'm going to record the videos I get!

ya I do use a lap top, I bought an adapter to go from video out, to usb, and a program to record and edit. I have seen these as well,

they look alot simpler to use in the field, but now you have to mess with sd cards, and trying to upload them to your pc, might be the way to go, but I am allready set up to use my laptop
