I am new the the forum but absolutely LOVE fishing. Ever since I was a young girl I would beg my dad to take my fishing and would wonder out loud if every slew we passed had fish in it. Being a girl it has often been hard for me to find other females who share my passion and are willing to go out and put up with the bug, mud and slimy fish in order to spend a day anticipating that the next nibble will be from "the big one". This is where Vicki comes in - the reason for this post! I met Vicki a few years ago and was excited to discover that she loved fishing just as much as I did. We headed out for our first fishing adventure on a frozen lake near Edmonton and since then have spent many hours developing an awesome friendship filled with lots of crazy adventures and talk about how badly we wish we could get out fishing more! Its awesome having a girlfriend who often times brings up the idea of heading out for day of fishing without begging on my part. The problem is we have a hard time getting past the wanting to go fishing and the actually going fishing stage. We are both new to the Clagary area and know few fishing spots or the technique to use in the few places we do. We also are wary of heading out into isolated areas by ourselves and as our scheduals dont always match up, we certainly don't feel safe heading out as single women. So here is there we need your help!
