What are people using for TVs in a fish shack fo the cameras to plug into. Looking to use 12 volt.

Also if left in the shack in the cold is there certain kinds that start up better or do u leave them off for a hour or so prior to starting them ?

LCD ?

Probably something cheap off Ebay amazon is what i am thinking. 12-14”

12-14” is pretty easy to pop off a wall mount and take back and forth. I’d buy a small inverter and purchase a 120 VAC TV. They are cheap.

Sorry for the stupid question here but are you able to connect the camera directly to the TV or are you going through the fish cameras screen??

I use the TV out of my RV. Generator runs it or I can use an inverter as mentioned. Your TV might last longer if it never freezes. Just my opinion.

You can buy 12 volt RV tv's at a reasonable price. They are rated better as far as extreme temp changes as well as taking the jarring that a rv will have when hitting pot holes and bumps.

I use a 19” lcd computer monitor with a vga adapter that is connected to my Marcum camera. Monitor is plugged into a small 75w inverter and into the solar power system. Works pretty decently.

I took the stand off of the bottom of the monitor and rigged up a simple wall mount bracket that lets me easily take the screen either when I leave.

Thanks. I have an old inverter that the cigar lighter end had broke the tip off.
It will get wired in direct and live out there.

VGA to RCA makes sense.

Last question does a flat screen tv work better than an old tube tv for this. I have an old 14” that has one foot in the recycle bin already as its in the way at home and not used. Just saw it again last night.

Does the tube type burn much more power or less power. ? Reason i say less is some of these new tvs can heat a home with the amount they give off 😀

Unrelated topic tube tvs only work for Duck Hunt with a NES. Always keep one of them tvs. 😆
