Wondering if anyone weighs the wolves they get. Got what I assume to be a 2019 spring pup with major jaw trauma and abscessed teeth, cracked and healing but I’d assume slowly staving to death as he couldn’t eat properly. He only weighed 48 lbs. Just picked up another smaller wolf, a female weighing 65lbs. Could this be the difference between a healthy pup vs non healthy?

Any thoughts from you guys and gals?

Pups seem to be in that 60-65 range

Sounds like he got the wrong end of the hoof from an ungulate... At least he's not suffering anymore.

That’s what I was thinking. Mr moose gave him a real what for, his days were numbered and I’m sure his pack would have turned on him and made a meal out of him when they needed to

I know nothing on wolves but they do turn on the weakest for real ?

In reality not a bad idea as the weak on is kind of the walking barking jerrycan.

They will Indeed eat members of their own pack. Seen it numerous times
