Hi, I'm wondering if anyone would like to share where some good spots close to Red Deer are for pike fishing. My lil cousin and I are purely catch and release. I'm not looking for the spots to catch monsters, just good numbers of small pike from shore. Thanks.

bower ponds isnt a very good pike hole. theres only a few in there from when the river flooded. it used to be a trout pond but the pike took care of all the trout. and from what i understand all the big pike have been taken outta there.

A few years ago the pond at three mile bend was really good for smaller pike. But now they are few and far between.

Any where along the Blindman north on 2a, Medicine River west of Sylvan if you can get permission. If you can get a canoe or such there is Pine or Gull.

Although I think Gull is your better bet for LOT'S of BIG FISH, I would have to agree that Sylvan is likely your best bet when fishing from shore.

Last year the pond at Riverbend golf course was great for small 12" pike. Haven't been there this year. Rapala's and len thompson's orig worked well for me.
