Had a great weekend up at fawcett lake. I loved the campgrounds and the fishing was great!!! Had a flat tire on the trailer on the way up..but that only put us back an hour (note to self, ensure you have the right size tire iron before you leave) Thanks to the good Samaritan who helped us out. Had a wicked thunder storm the frist night we were there. Saturday was beautiful, +25 or so..Oh yah and i got my girlfriend to actually hold a fish...that was a big win for me...lol

I fish there alot - tons of small to medium pike and walleye fun to be had but the 50+cm walleyes sometimes feel impossible to find (though 40-49s are in abundance). I suspect the walleye there are stunting a little simply due to the raw density of smaller fish around. Did you manage any keepers?

Looks like you had a good time in any case.. and good job with the GF.. not only did you get her to hold a fish but it was a slimy jack to boot. ;)
