Just booked 3 days of Sturgeon fishing for Oct 15-17, going to spend 2 days for Sturgeon and 1 day for Salmon and touring Hell's Gate.
HELL'S GATE should be a BLAST ( Mind if I drive the boat :lol: )

Going with STS guiding, so I think they will have that end of the trip handled.
But we thought we might spend a day or two touring around on the way home.
Maybe try for some Bass, I know there are some lakes on the way home that may hold some Bass.

We are throwing in the Zodiac, just wondering if the lakes are Electric only or can I use the 9.9.

An info is GREATLY appreciated.

Hey bobloblaw, read one of your old reply's to one of my posts. Sent you a PM for some info on Duck Lake.

October is a great time for fishing sturgeon on the Fraser/Harrison. Should be some coho in the system at that time as well. Am quite familiar with STS, a very reputable company with a couple great guides. Osoyoos and Vaseux are the only bass lakes I'm familiar with and I believe gas motors are okay.

Hey johnk, thanks for the info. I heard the same thing about STS from a few people. Also seen them on the Fishn Canada show. Looks like a top notch outfit.
I talked to Vic the other day, seemed like a great guy.
Bring on the 10 foot Sturgeon!!

Just got some great info from bobloblaw on Duck lake as well.
Came across an old article on Duck and several other Bass lakes that sheephunter's wife had wrote for Outdoor edge awhile back. Some more helpfull info in there.

Vaseux, like Duck Lake near Creston is a Federal bird sanctuary so no motors, not even electrics, are permitted. It is a heck of a bass lake though.

Ya, Vic is a great guy. He contributes heavily to the sturgeon tagging program in the Fraser so me thinks he might know where a few are hanging out!

Jesse thanks for the links. I came across the bass site when I googled up Duck lake. Will have to hit them up for some info as well.

We went the first week of November. I booked with them so the wife and I could stay at Harrison Springs and the guide picked us up at the hotel dock each morning. The longest sturgeon we caught was 7.5` and lots under that. The main reason we went was to chase Chums with our fly gear, the sturgeon fishing was a bonus. If you want some great fly action try a chum on a fly rod!
